It’s been an inordinately long day and I just got home a little bit ago, so this is gon be prolly ‘bout as short and sweet as my posts will ever be or get. And yes, I’m mostly talking to myself in this one, but I hope it gives you a boost if you find yourself in a similar situation…
Every great book has its turning points: the moments when the protagonist is tested, pushed to their limits, and forced to grow. Your life is no different. Right now, you may be in the middle of one of those difficult chapters, but remember: the best stories are rarely smooth from start to finish.
If you’ve ever read a book that felt like it was dragging, only to be blown away by a twist or a moment of triumph, then you know the power of what comes next. It’s the promise of a richer, fuller story that keeps us turning the pages. You’re still writing your story.
It’s tempting to dwell on the parts of the story that didn’t go as planned—you know, the chapters where you stumbled, the ones filled with loss or disappointment. Those chapters might feel like they define the entire book, but they don’t. They’re just part of the narrative, laying the groundwork for what’s to come.
And the best chapter? It’s not behind you. It’s waiting, unwritten, on the pages ahead of your life.
Think of all the work you’ve been putting in—the sacrifices, the grind, the quiet moments of courage that no one sees. They may feel like they’re leading nowhere, but trust that they’re setting the stage for what’s next. Every great book has slow burns and buildups; those moments matter just as much as the climaxes and resolutions.
What if your best chapter isn’t the one where everything finally falls into place? What if it’s the one where you realize how far you’ve come, even in the messiness of it all? What if it’s the chapter where you stop waiting for perfection and start embracing the beauty in the process?
Your story isn’t done yet, not even close. The parts you’re dreading, the obstacles you’re facing—these are the makings of a story worth telling. And when the dust settles, you’ll look back and realize this chapter wasn’t an ending; it was the bridge to something extraordinary.
Today, I hope you’ll take one small step toward that unwritten chapter. It could be as simple as showing up for yourself, deciding not to give up, or daring to hope again. These moments, though they might feel insignificant, are the pen strokes shaping the chapters ahead.
Remember: every single protagonist has doubts, every great story has challenges, and every unwritten chapter holds the promise of something greater. The best chapters in your story are still waiting to be written. And you’re the one holding the pen.
Until next time, I wish you nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns, which are no less fictitious than the best-chapter-in-waiting you are.
