Happy Monday, y’all! If you’ve been following my story for any length of time, by now you know I’m a chronic pain sufferer. What you may not know is that The Invisible Black Woman blog is not my first foray into putting pen to paper as a way to write out what I’ve dealt with over the years.
So, I’m going to share a bit of my backstory by letting you in on a secret: I’ve written stories about some of my experiences with pain and they are available on Amazon’s Kindle Vella. If you’re not familiar, it’s a way to publish serialized short stories and share them with the world. I was a bit reluctant to share at first because they’re pretty different from the blog, but I reminded myself we are not a monolith and can be more than one thing. So, here are two of my “older babies” you can find on Kindle Vella: “Life With Iggy, Season 1” (https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/story/B09MSQXW7D) and “My Body’s Extra AF” (https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/story/B0CBDJ1GKN)
If you want to support and contribute toward my ECAF (Escape Corporate America Fund), it’ll cost you less than one quarter per episode and the first three of every story are free. That’s it. That’s the whole pitch. Learn a different side of TIBW and support me at the same time. If you only read the first three of each story, submit a rating and a comment, if you don’t mind. I’m debating if I’ll release the other 4 seasons of the one (you’ll know when you click it) and/or continue the other story.
So, let me know what ya’ll think, all right?
