Thank you

The below message originally appeared on LinkedIn yesterday evening, but a lot of what I shared is oh so very appropriate for this platform if not more so. I’m still pretty stunned on how this has taken off, but I’m grateful that the message is getting out and that it’s resonating with so many. So without further ado, here’s yesterday’s LI post…

It’s hard to believe that I made my debut on LinkedIn less than 2 months ago. I had all the excuses and reasons why I wasn’t ready, but it wasn’t about my timing at all. And here we are 3000+ subscribers strong and I’m nothing short of humbled and amazed. I wholeheartedly believed that I would always end up here because the people I want to reach—my beautiful, badass, Black queens and those that really and truly support us—were here.

Too many of us are hurting and need so desperately to know that we are not the only one dealing with the foolery that is corporate America for Black women. So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Thank you for showing me that the time is now not when. Thank you for supporting, commenting, reposting, and even just reading and sharing behind the scenes. It is confirmation that I am walking in my purpose. I hope if nothing else, it motivates at least one other person who is in my shoes to do the same.

Until the next installment, I wish you nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns, which are no less fictitious than the spectacularly amazing creature you are.
